You have heard the old saying, ' if at first you don't succeed, try, try, try again.' How true. But the only thing between try and triumph is umph. Think about it. Many things never get accomplished because the c'ants don't try or make a little more effort. I had a typing teacher when I was in medical Assistant training that could type 232 words per minute, with one mistake. I thought 'wow'. She told me that the first year of typing she failed and the second; but, she didn't give up. The teacher tried to discourage her from taking typing a third year. She did anyway. In the third year she began to improve and by the end of the year she was typing double the speed of all the others with one mistake. Her persistence paid off. I've never heard of anyone typing near that fast or accurate. Just think what you can do if you keep trying. Philippians 4:13- says I can do all things through Christ Jesus which strengthens me. In these fast paced days we barely have time to relax. Most people get less than 6 hours of sleep each night. Why? That's a good question. The Bible gives us a very good answer. Daniel 7:25 says that satan will wear out the saints. Hebrews 12:2-3 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3. For consider such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your mind. We need to take care of ourselves and get the rest we need. that's not to say sometimes we don't get enough sleep. Luke 21:19 it says that in your patience possess ye your soul. We must pray, believe, trust God and wait for God to do as He has promised. Galatians 6:9 states that we should not be weary in well doing for we will reap if we faint not. Romans 8:25- says that But if we hope for that we see not, then we with patience wait for it. The enemy of our soul is constantly trying to side track us to where we are over whelmed, frustrated and down right exhausted. In these conditions the work of God , through us cannot prosper. We become ineffective. We need to prioritize our lives to be ready and able to do as God intended for us. I'd had gotten so overwhelmed that I couldn't think or do what I needed done. There is so much to do and then John had this blood clot and I had to do his work and help take care of him. Praise God for giving me the insight to do what I can and still take care of myself. The rest will just have to wait. God is Good all the time. He sends someone when it is needed to help, even if they aren't Christians. Thank you Jesus.
