Fellowship Hall

Brother James was just starting to preach. He was invited to the youth convention in the city. Being a bit nervous, because it was his first time; he was pale and sweaty. The choir sang songs of encouragement. The last song was Amazing Grace. He stood and began to preach, 20 minutes, then 30, 45, 70 minutes. A deacon in the front row took matters into his own hand, picked up a song book and threw it. The preacher ducked and the book hit one of the ministers in the choir. He yelled "hit me again, I can still hear him preaching!" If the Holy Ghost is moving in his glorious way, there is no time limit. I've seen it when the Holy Ghost was having his way; even the babies didn't cry until he was through, well over an hour later. Have you ever been hurt by a person in whom you trusted as your friend. Disappointed by those who were supposed to love and support you. Felt like you were alone and there was no one you could go to. I really believe everyone has to some degree. I would like to tell you about my best friend. When no one understands, or seem not to care, he is always there. I am talking to you about Jesus, the Son of God. He is with us in every situation. That is if we let him. John 15:7- says If you abide in me, and my word in you , you can ask what you will and it shall be done. 8.- My Father is glorified if you bear much fruit...9.-16 says, continue in my love, keep my commandments, and abide in my love as i have loved and kept my Fathers commandments. I've told you these things that your joy remain and full. My commandment is love others as yourself. No greater love than to lay down your life for your friend, as he did for us. You are my friends if you do what I say, No more, I call you servants, but friends. For all things that I've heard from my Father, I tell you. You have not chosen me but I have chosen you and ordained you to bring lasting fruit, that whatsoever you ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you. This is not to say that we won't have troubles. But if we trust in Christ and obey him ; he will be with us every moment and we will have victory. The song says, ' if I never had a problem, I'd never know he could solve them. I'd never know what faith in God will do.He is my B F F, but I never forget that He is God and worship and praise my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, my best friend. Genny
