The Bible says that we must be holy as He (God) is Holy. 1 Peter 1:16 We must be justified and righteous. We must be born again John 3:16 These are basic but to a new comer they might be a bit confusing. What has all this got to do with faith? Well, Without faith it is impossible to please Him ( God), for they that come to God , must believe that He is the rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6. It says that God gave every man a measure of faith. Romans 12:3. Faith is a combination of operations. It is not just believing. Even the devil believes and trembles. We must believe to receive.Faith includes trust, hope, and love. Hebrews 11!- says- Now, faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. Faith cometh by hearing and hearing of the word of God. Romans 10:17. If your faith is weak, start hearing God's word. Listen to preachers and then read out loud and let God speak through His word. Know the truth. TRUST- to trust someone you must have a personal relationship, or personal knowledge. Your Dad goes to throw you in the air; you know he will catch you. You trust him. You have confidence in what he says, he will do. You are persuaded. Persuasion comes with learning someone. Jesus said, 'learn of me.' Matthew 11:28-30. HOPE- I have said for a long time that hope is the beginning of faith. In one sense of the word it is. I hope such a thing will happen. I am not fully persuaded but I have a positive attitude. LOVE- For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith....but faith which worketh by love. Galatians 5:6,7 So you see our love causes our faith to operate as well as hope and trust. The last ingredient of workable faith is obedience to the Lord. Our righteousness is now in Christ. Christ in us. We are not transformed yet. What has faith got to do with salvation, ( being born again), righteousness, justification and holiness? None are achieved without faith in God. When our sins are forgiven we are justified. Holiness is maturity in Christ. Wont you ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins.Do you believe He died, rose again, sitting at the Fathers right hand, making intercession for us. He is the Son of God , born of the virgin Mary; tell Him and ask Him to be Lord of your life. Thank God and go share these truth and what He"s done for you.
