After Pharaoh told Moses and the Isrealites to leave Egypt, he changed his mind. So Pharaoh and his army chased after the Isrealites. When the people saw the army coming, they were afraid. They couldn't run away because they were at the edge of the Red Sea. God made a way for them to get to safety by splitting the Red Sea. If we trust in God with all of our hearts, He will make a way were there seems so be no way.
