After Moses died, God chose Joshua as the new leader of His people. God told Joshua to lead the people into the promised land. God promised to be with Joshua. " Be strong and courageous," God said. Joshua sent two spies to Jericho to look at the land. A women named Rahab hid the spies on the roof of her house. Then she helped them escape. Because she helped God's people she was spared in the end.
