John 6:24-29

Time and time again Sis. Sarah came to Pastor John, crying, "I am so afraid. my husband says he is going to kill me if I continue to come to your church." Pastor John, weary of the situation, say's, "have faith, my child, have faith. God will take care of you." Sarah said, "yes, God has taken good care of me. You don't understand, now he says that if I continue to come to your church he's going to kill you." Pastor replied, "there's a nice little church a little closer to your home, the Pastor's name is Peter Andrews." Humm!  Let me set the background here. Jesus went out walking on the water to meet His disciples in the Sea of Tiberias. Hes had just fed the 5000. Afterward Jesus went into the mountain lest they take Him by force to make Him a King. The disciples got in a ship to go to the other side. A great wind made the sea arise. They had rowed about 3 1/2 miles in the dark. They saw Jesus walking on the water and were afraid. Jesus said not to be afraid and got in the ship. Those men sought Jesus. They saw the miracles of the feeding, Jesus walking on the water, and the ship immediately the ship was at the land where they went. Now In Capernaum they found Jesus and asked Him how He got there. Jesus replied, "you seek me, not for the miracles but for the loaves ye ate and were filled. Labour not for things that perish but for things that are eternal." They asked, "what shall we do that we might do the works of God." Jesus said, "This is the work of God, that you believe on whom He has sent. You believed Moses, believe in Me." This is our purpose in life , to believe Jesus, the Son of God and in the process of believing we love Him and obey Him. Galatians 5:6 says, faith worketh by love. John 14:15 says, if you love Me keep My commandments. These men saw three miracles that day. They only wanted the loaves, blessings of God. But God intended for us to be witnesses for Him and to do the works He did. Greater works than these shall ye do, because I go to My Father. John 14:12 The power, anointing, it through the Holy Spirit which the Father sent on Pentecost. If you do not have the baptism of the Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit, you are denying the very power that God gave us to be with us to guide and strengthen us, give us wisdom, comfort, protection and so much more. We must receive Him. The evidence is tongues and we began to speak in words He gives us. He teaches us as we go. Receive The Holy Ghost, salvation and desire required . Gena
