One day the farmers donkey fell into a pit..The pit was deep and the donkey was old. The farmer decided to just leave the useless donkey and cover him with dirt. He called all his neighbors to help him bury the donkey. one shouvel, two; the donkey nayed pitifully. after a half dozen or so he began  to shake the dirt off and step up. one shovel after another he shook off the dirt and stepped up, finally the donkey walked right out of the pit. Moral of the story is , no matter what they throw at you be patient and hold on; you'll make it through if you have faith in Jesus. Tie a knot in the end of the rope and hang on. My neice  put out a recording with that song in it.. God didn't promise that  we'd always be blessed without times of hardships, sickness, or  sorrows. But, He did say "He'd be there with me  and answer my prayer.' Nehamiah 8:10 says the joy of the Lord is our strength.. In  Ephesians it says  'finally my brethren  be ye strong in the Lord and the power of His might'.' These scriptures are saying that if we just turn all over to Jesus. He will take us through it we just need to trust the Lord and  rely on Him. How He chooses to bring us through is His business. Ours is to be faithful, joyful, & joy , which gives peace in the storm.
