Each & every person has a god, they serve.  I didn't say that every person served God.  What I am saying is that everyone worships something or someone.  Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.  It also says that man should not serve any other as god.  Who sits on the THRONE OF YOUR HEART? Who or what comes first in your life. We love our families, etc., with our emotions, from the heart.  God wants our obedience as a sign of our love, not just emotions. I've seen people that come in like a flood of emotions & then their lives are anything but godly. Usually they cause confusions because they are so emotional.  Godliness is not necessarily outward emotions.  Let me give you a good example.  I went to Sis. Nell's  husbands funeral.  There was one of his grand daughters who screamed & carried on. you would of thought that she really loved him dearly.  She never visited, or called,.  The only thing she was concerned about was what he left her. You might think that I am against emotions.  Not at all. I believe that you will be consistent. If Jesus is sitting on the throne of our heart, He will be 1st. Let's say, what did Jesus say. & obey His word.  Everything Jesus asks is for our benefit. Let's strive to be his witnesses & show His love to a lost world. The only Bible  many see are us.  How do we portray Jesus? God so Loved the world.
