Peter understands his vision to mean that the gift of God, the Holy Ghost, is now poured out on the Gentiles. He realizes that God is now giving Gentiles the same opportunity as the Jews. He remembered that Jesus said," John baptized with water but He would baptize with the Holy Ghost and fire." Other disciples began to preach to the Gentiles and they were turning to the Lord and being saved. When the Elders in Jerusalem heard of this, they sent Barnabas to Antioch to check it out. He saw what was happening and rejoiced. He encouraged these new believers to purpose in their heart to stay close to the Lord. How about you? Are you thrilled in your heart when God moves? Do you encourage others to stay on God?
