When the disciples in Jerusalem heard about Peter going in the home of Cornelius and eating with them, Peter was summoned to Jerusalem. He recounted to them his vision, Cornelius' vision, and what God had done when he preached to them. Now the disciples in Jerusalem accept that the Holy Spirit has now been given to the Gentiles also. The christians who had been scattered from Jerusalem were only preaching to the Jews. When they began to hear about what happened at Antioch, they began to come and see. They began to preach to the Gentiles. Many were saved and added to the church daily. In Antioch, these followers of the "Way" began to be called christians.
