To Authenticate the Divinity of Christ:
Joh 20:30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
Joh 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
To Give Hope to Men:
Rom 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
To Relate Human Experience as a Warning:
1 Co 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
To Give Knowledge of Eternal Life:
1 Jn 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
From The Pastors: To believe someone would give their life for me as I was selfish and with hurt and strife seemed unbelievable, especially here on this earth because a person would want to knock your block off for your actions, not die for you. But God looked beyond my faults and saw my future! That is why the greatest love story told is the Bible engraved in blood and as I read, the more it was alive and the more I come to know this man called Jesus. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. I pray you believe in Him today as the word is true.
